In this session, we will unpack the “C” of the Culture of C.A.R.E. This session, grounded in large part on the early work of Gloria Ladson Billings will examine what cultural responsiveness is and equally important, what it isn’t. At the conclusion of this session, participants will have a deeper understanding of how to operationalize cultural responsiveness in their schools and classrooms. The newly released “Culturally Responsive Teaching and Leading Standards” will be used to advance deeper understandings.
