Developing teachers as leaders in your school is not optional; it is necessary. Not only will it enrich your school and community culture, but it will also provide a crucial reason for teachers to stay engaged over a long career. How are we defining teacher leadership? What are the important skills that lead to success as a teacher leader? How can administrators create conditions for teachers to lead in their schools and districts? This small group session will engage participants in generative conversation about these questions and identify strategies to leverage teacher leadership in your school improvement efforts.
