How do you plan for a math task? Part of ensuring our students develop a conceptual understanding is allowing them flexibility & choice when solving... but how do you even plan for that? In this session we will dive into the multiplication models from concrete to symbolic to help you plan for math tasks. We will collaborate on ways to use these models to plan rigorous and supportive math tasks that address the standards at your elementary grade level. You will leave with strategies for analyzing student work, a trajectory of multiplication models, and planning tools.
